The Nuon Solar Team consists of ten students from TU Delft. After a rigorous selection procedure, a team was assembled from different faculties. Among them are the studies Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Technical Earth Sciences and Technical Public Administration. With their technical knowledge, creative insights and practical ways, the 2018 team has only one goal; to make the Nuna9S the smartest solar car in the world.
More than 4,500 km across South Africa's changing landscape
From September 22 to 29, Nuna9S will compete in the 2018 Sasol Solar Challenge in South Africa. Participating cars may only use solar energy to reach the finish line. The race leads from Pretoria, in the northeast, to Stellenbosch near Cape Town on the west coast. On Sept. 29, the teams will finish in Stellenbosch. The next day, on Sept. 30, all participants will drive together to Cape Town for the official tribute.
Meilink secures flawless packaging
Also for this Challenge, Meilink, with clever, sophisticated packaging, ensures that the valuable and fragile Nuna9S can be transported to South Africa, and back, undamaged. The Nuon Solar Team: "Meilink's contribution ensured that we were able to prepare properly for the Sasol Solar Challenge in South Africa."
