The most important lesson Peter Rikken learned in his years at Meilink is that you have to do more right than you do wrong. 'As an entrepreneur, don't be afraid to make mistakes, because if you don't try anything, you won't get anywhere. But in the end, the balance has to tip in the right direction.' An important value for the dga is reliability, both toward employees and customers. 'We don't like to say no to an assignment. We don't have to, because we are enormously flexible, due to our scale and especially the attitude of our people. But when something really can't be done, we tell customers that too. That transparency, honesty and reliability really are core values for Meilink.'
